Cuba is a very special island, with so much shared history. You walk the streets of Havana and see a grand “stage” of beautiful buildings with decaying patinas, crumbling and seemingly stuck in a time capsule. It’s almost like a TV set. But this is changing rapidly as it has opened up to the world more recently. You see cruise ships, new building, retail with new products on the shelves in stores, much of which is good for its people. It’s a friendly place, where you can knock on a door and be invited into homes, where people are excited to share their country with visitors. Music, sports and the arts are very important to them. They like their neighbors to the north but are very concerned about how it is changing yet again.
