VietNam

Vietnam was fascinating to visit because my home country, the US, was very much a part of their recent history. But as we all know, not in a good way. I am a child of the 60’s so I remember the Vietnam War, the protests and anger in our country. It was a tragic time for America. Yet visiting Vietnam today, I was surprised at how welcoming the Vietnamese people were, and how forgiving. They said their country has been invaded many times and they have learned to forgive. We spent a day with an “agent orange” family and saw the devastating effects this chemical has had on people that will last for generations.
